:struck I got a bit more respect with those guys sticking their cams straight under some of those girls, I just couldn't get myself to do it todat. The skirt was so tight I tried getting close but I wasn't close enough and she kept moving around quiet a bit. The vid is so cheap it's not worth posting so here's a few vid caps. Hope #4 will be a much better one now that I am getting the idea of this challenge. Just for the info I am using a raw compact cam, no little hide away bags.

here's some of my personal tips to help your fourth attempt a bit better.
i generally push myself to skip video if i can and rather get some great pics since my camera was built for taking awesome pictures (5.2 MP @ 2560x1920) instead of video (max size is like 80x80, verrry crappy). if you're in a safe environment (read: nobody watching), the target is set, and you can easily and smoothly pull off a shot, try your best to just get the camera under the skirt for a good shot. i'm not forcing you to do anything and i know it will take a LOT of guts but once you get worked up for it once or twice the feeling will be better the next time. it's nice that your cam takes better video; you can just slide it under there and not have to worry about shutter speed, blur, focusing, etc. also, you may be surprised but sometimes the girls are completely oblivious to what you're doing. i was following this girl around walmart yesterday and she was a potential upskirt candidate because she picked up EVERY bottle of suntan lotion and read the label  unfortunately with the good weather coming up a lot of girls were in the suntan lotion section and i was not able to get the uppie.
another good thing is to act like you're there for the same reason the target is, not solely to get the uppie. in my example above, i pretended to look at shampoos, which were in an aisle behind the girl. do you have a cell phone? i put mine on vibrate and pretend like i got a call from somebody asking me to buy something for them and i'll say something like "... oh yeah sure they have shampoo here, what kind do you want?" in a loud but natural voice. i've even gone so far as to get an uppie with a shopping basket full of crap. remember, environment first, uppie second.
i like the quality and subject matter of your work. hopefully my blabbering will help you pull off a nice uppie next time. keep up the good work!
ps: my sig :p

Yeah, i hate it when try to follow a girl for an uppie and not get what you want. But I have a brilliant technique that just might work for people who just use a raw cam, like me too. OK, so i only had used this once or twice before but here goes: I get a paper bag with handle (mine is abercrombie), and tshirt inside bag so cam doesn't slide. You must use paper bag b/c the opening is stable and doesn't fold in like plastic does. So what i do is go around to malls(I know, tough place) with my "abercrombie bag", turn cam on to movie mode, and go shoot uppies, but be casual, don't look overly suspicious. This is much less risky than bringing a gym bag in the mall. Understand? Try it, it works. hope this helps
Oh in case you're wondering, i dont how to post videos yet, if i've known you would have seen that technique of mine already:)

Guess since we're letting out some methods that same interest thing is what I try to do, but that 2nd one was just bending down near the subject looking towards weird stuff on the shelves and moving the cam under her (had to be super quick just as the vid shows only a couple sec then she moved again and sort of looked my way since her under 5 or so year old daughter said something random. The first one a few days ago strangely it was another shampoo isle where I got down on my knees on the other side of isle then moved the cam under her. This last time I kept browsing pet products next to her and waited for the right moment but her skirt was so tight I needed to move the cam more in between her legs but that might of got me noticed.

You will get better with experience for sure but be careful.
Safety is the #1 factor when doing this since the risk is very high - but the rewards aren't bad either. It is easier with a photo buddy since you have distraction in your favor and you feel more comfortable with someone else around.
I have found that outdoor tourist areas are much easier than stores and malls since you don't have to worry so much about security cams or security guards. Remember the stores are geared to stopping shoplifters and can be very aggressive in this way. On the tourist trails you usually only have to worry about the grandmother or grandfather.
And get out if you have any sense of danger. Follow your nose.

Never on one's own, camera close to the floor, and asolutely do not do it.

WOW...You mean, we're actually going to discuss TECHNIQUES and METHODS for once????...Is this still TCB????
Outstanding job, by the way, Mr. Oscarhstrom....You not only seem to have good material, but plenty of it. I would like to discuss methods/equipment with you, but considering the board no longer has PM's or email posts, oh well. I understand if you feel uncomfortable with revealing your hand here on the open board.
Thanks
